Registration of child All children must have an up to date registration form completed before the child may be left in Butterfly’s care.

Registration forms must have correct details of child, parents, emergency contacts, doctors, allergies and special needs. As well as a current contact number so that the parent can be reached in the case of and emergency. Details will be held on site for the use of the staff to be able to contact parents in an emergency and so that current details are held if medical care is needed.

Permissions Parents are asked to sign to give permission for staff to be able to call an ambulance or seek medical attention if needed. When giving permission for someone to collect your child they must be 16 years or older in order to collect.

Parents are asked for permission for staff to be able to take photos of the child. These photos are then used on Butterfly’s Facebook page, website, twitter and Instagram.

Non-collection Please ensure you collect your child on time or contact us to tell us you will be late. In the event of non-collection every effort will be made to contact the parent/ guardian. However, if not possible the relevant child care authorities will be contacted and information shared with them.

Pre-booking If you have booked your child in for a session and need to cancel a minimum of 24 hours’ notice must be given to avoid being charged full price for the session. We do also require payment at the start of a session before leaving your child with Butterfly’s.

Accident form Accident forms will be completed by staff to record any accidents including any current bumps or bruises. This must be signed by a member of staff and the parent/ guardian. We are legally required to hold any accident forms until the child turns 21 years old.  

Lost property Parents/ guardians are responsible for children’s personal belongings. Butterfly’s takes no responsibility for any loss or damage. We recommend your child attends in clothes suitable for messy play.

Lost property will be held on site for 1 month and then any items left will be given to charity.

Policies / procedures We follow strict policies and procedures with in our setting, we recommend that you view them and we ask you to sign a deceleration to state you are aware of them.

Nappies/ wipes Nappies and wipes must be provided by the parent/ guardian any spares provided by Butterfly’s will be charged to your bill.

Illness If a child becomes ill whilst at butterfly’s creche as per our current policies parent/ guardian will be contacted. Medication cannot be administered unless permission is given by the parent/ guardian on the child’s registration form. Please ensure your child has not had sickness & diarrhoea with in the last 48 hours. Contagious childhood illnesses will be dealt with by the exclusions policy recommended and set by the local health authority and in accordance with our policies.

We reserve the right to exclude or refuse entry if a child appears to be ill.
